In Citibank Online - Standing Instruction

With Citibank Online Credit Card payment option you can set up a standing instruction to pay either minimum amount due or total amount due.

Citi Mobile

From your Other Bank account

IMPS

With IMPS option, credit card bill payments can be made 24X7 (including holidays) from any of your bank accounts. Payments initiated by customers through IMPS will be credited to the card account instantly and will reflect in his statement by end of the same business day. Customer’s credit line will be increased to the extent of payment received instantly.

NEFT

Payments initiated by customers through NEFT will be credited to the card account instantly and will reflect in his statement by end of the same business day. NEFT is available 24 X 7 (including holidays) and this payment can be done from any of your bank accounts. Customer’s credit line will be increased to the extent of payment received instantly.

RTGS

Credit card payments for Rs.2,00,000 and above can be made through RTGS. Payments initiated by customers through RTGS will be credited to the card account instantly and will reflect in the card statement by end of the same business day. RTGS is available 24 X 7 (including holidays. Customer’s credit line will instantly be increased to the extent of payment received instantly.

ACH/ECS

Your funds are transferred from your account with other bank through a facility called the ACH(Automated Clearing House, earlier referred as ECS). You are required to provide a signed mandate to Citibank authorizing the transfer of funds from your account with other bank. The ACH mandate can be downloaded here. Payment credit will happen on Payment Due Date.

Card payment from other bank website

Citibank Credit Card has been added as Utility Biller with other banks. This option allows you to pay when you login to Online Banking platform of your non-Citibank Bank account. This will normally take upto 3 working days (excluding Saturdays & Sundays) to get credited into your account.

E-PAY

Citibank's E-Pay lets you pay your Credit Card bills online even if you don't have a Citibank banking account. This will normally take 2 working days (excluding Saturdays & Sundays) to get credited into your account E-Pay now.

Once the transaction has been successfully completed, the credit line in your credit card will be increased by the amount paid. The payment will reflect in your credit card statement by next working day.
In the event of an invalid Card number being submitted by the customer, the funds will be returned to the originating bank on the same day. To check the status of the credit into your account, please get in touch with your Bank.
Citibank does not levy any charges for payments received through Funds Transferred to your CitiCard from other bank account. Most banks also offer Funds Transfer facility free of cost. However, you are requested to get in touch with your bank for details on applicable charges, if any.

Yes, on successfully completing the Funds Transfer you will be given a reference number for the transaction.

If you have not noted the same at the time of the transaction, you can call your bank and the same will be provided to you.

You need to quote this Unique Transaction Reference Number at the time of logging in your complaint, if any.

Almost all banks are registered for providing their customers with the Funds Transfer facility. However you are requested to check with your bank.

Your Funds Transfer can be rejected if you have entered an invalid Card number (or) if you have entered an invalid IFSC Code (or) if you have initiated a payment to a Non-Resident Credit card. In the event of rejection, the funds will be remitted back to the originating bank on the same day. To check the status of the credit into your account, please get in touch with your Bank.

Non Resident customers who hold International Credit Card with Citibank India should not use this facility and should ensure payments are made only from their NRE/NRO account.

You will receive a payment confirmation via SMS to the registered mobile number.

Frequently Asked Questions about E-Pay

If your transaction status on the E-Pay confirmation page is successful, your Citibank Credit Card will be credited with the amount you authorized after 2 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays). For example, a payment made on Monday will be visible in your credit card statement by Thursday (assuming there are no holidays in-between). If you have made a payment through SBI after 7 PM on Monday, then the payment will be visible in your credit card statement by Friday (assuming there are no holidays in-between).
After the payment is made, you will be shown an acknowledgment screen. This screen will contain a 'Status' title, which will display 'SUCCESS' in case of successful transactions and 'FAILURE' in case of failed transactions. This screen will also contain the transaction reference number. Please note this down and quote this in case of any transaction queries with your Bank.
We request you to try other payment channels like NEFT, RTGS and IMPS where the payment transfer and credit line increase is instant.
If your bank account has been debited, however the success page with the transaction reference number is not displayed, then you are advised to contact your Bank to check if the transaction was successfully processed. Your Bank will confirm back to you if the transaction is successful and the payment will be credited to the Credit Card.
