What is Citi Mobile? How is it different from the existing mobile services offered by Citibank?
Citi Mobile is a mobile banking solution that allows you to access your account using a mobile device, to view account related information, transfer funds, pay bills and much more.
Citi Mobile can be accessed on the mobile browser or downloaded as an application onto your mobile. You can then login using your User ID and existing IPIN. Hence, this is different from the existing SMS based mobile services like CitiAlert and CitiAlert on Demand.

This may be due to congestion in your service provider’s GPRS network. Please try again after some time.
I was able to successfully download Citi Mobile but am not able to locate it on my mobile phone?
Citi Mobile should be in the applications, games or downloads folder on your mobile phone.
Your mobile phone may require configuration of some GPRS settings. Alternatively, please contact your service provider.
The Citi Mobile application was unable to connect to the Citi Mobile system, either due to a weak mobile phone signal or irregular GPRS connectivity. Please try again after some time.

How long does it take to download the Citi Mobile application?
The actual download time depends on the speed of GPRS connectivity offered by your mobile operator. However, typically, you should be able to download Citi Mobile in less than a minute's time.
While downloading the application, I get a message saying "Untrusted Application". What should I do?
This is a handset specific message, which will be seen when any 3rd party application is downloaded onto your phone. Select 'Yes' and continue downloading Citi Mobile. Citi Mobile is a safe and tested application that you can use on your mobile phone.
Where will Citi Mobile get downloaded on my phone?
The downloaded applications are stored in a particular folder of the handset, specific to each device. Typically it should reside either in the Applications or Games folder of your phone.
What if I delete/uninstall Citi Mobile from my mobile phone by mistake?

Can I make payments to new payees?
You cannot register new payees on your Citi Mobile. However once you register your new payees on Citibank Online, you are all set to make payments to them through Citi Mobile.
When will the transaction request placed on Citi Mobile get executed?
Any transaction request placed on your Citi Mobile will take the identical amount of time as it would on Citibank Online.
I am not able to see certain products. Why?
The products that you are looking for may not be linked to the account you have logged in from. Please link your accounts to the Banking/Credit Card account to access them on Citi Mobile.
I am not able to do all transactions on certain accounts. Why?
Currently Citi Mobile allows you to do certain transactions only for Suvidha/Banking, Credit Cardmembers only.
How do I login to Citi Mobile?
Click on the Citi Mobile icon in your mobile phone's 'Application' folder. Type in your User ID and your existing IPIN (Internet Password) to login to Citi Mobile.
How do I logout of Citi Mobile?
At any stage, while browsing through Citi Mobile you can logout by clicking on the 'Options' menu button at the bottom left of the Citi Mobile screen and selecting 'Logout'. 'You have been successfully logged out!' will be displayed on the screen to indicate that you have been safely logged out of Citi Mobile.
What if I get disconnected or my mobile phone switches off while performing a transaction?
You can simply reconnect to Citi Mobile and verify your transaction history to check if the transaction has been executed.
What if I get an SMS or a call while on Citi Mobile?
On most handsets, you can answer the call or read the SMS while Citi Mobile continues to run in the background. After you have finished your call, you can resume banking on Citi Mobile. For certain handsets however, you may need to re-open the application/browser and login again.
Can I access Citi Mobile when I am on national roaming?
Yes, as long as you have GPRS activated on your mobile number, subject to availability of the network, you can access Citi Mobile anywhere in the country. Please keep in mind that you might be charged special roaming rates for using GPRS.
What if I want to change my mobile phone device?
In case you want to use the Citi Mobile application, you will have to re-download the application on your new handset. Follow the set of download instructions for this and continue banking on Citi Mobile. Alternatively, you can visit http://m.citibank.co.in/mlogin on your mobile phone and continue using Citi Mobile.
What if I change my mobile number?
You can still access your account using Citi Mobile on your phone. However, in case, of a new handset you need to re-download Citi Mobile application. In case you are using the direct link, http://m.citibank.co.in/mlogin to access Citi Mobile, there is no change required.
Does Citi Mobile have a similar appearance on all phones?
The portfolio of services offered on Citi Mobile remains identical across all handsets. However, the appearance may differ slightly based on the mobile phone and its display interface.
Are there any transaction limits to the transactions I can perform on Citi Mobile?
Banking customers and perform financial transactions up to Rs.50,000 per day across fund transfers, draft payments, bill payments, credit card payments and prepaid mobile recharge. Credit Card customers can make payment up to Rs.50,000 per day across bill payment and prepaid mobile recharge.

Is any of my account information stored on my mobile phone? What do I do if I lose my phone?
No information is stored on your mobile phone or SIM card memory. So in case of a lost/stolen handset, no account information will be compromised.
If you lose your phone, please call CitiPhone immediately and register your complaint so we can block usage of your IPIN. However, please note that when your IPIN is blocked, you will also not be able to login to Citibank Online. We recommend that you request for a new IPIN to use both Citibank Online and Citi Mobile.
Why is my account information shown on Citi Mobile masked?
Similar to Citibank Online, all Card numbers or sensitive information is masked so as to ensure security against shoulder surfing or leak of any information through direct observation techniques.
My handset is not in the supported list. Why?
Citi Mobile uses the highest level of security i.e., 128-bit SSL, which is the same level of security as that of your PC browser. Some handsets do not have this capability and are, therefore, not supported.
Are there any additional security precautions I should take?
Yes, do not reveal your User ID, or your IPIN to anyone. Do not store any of these details on your mobile phone.
