On Feb 21st, Apple published an incremental update to iOS, v7.0.6, to address a critical flaw in data security.

An attacker with privileged network position may capture or modify data in sessions protected by SSL / TLS. The vulnerability is on all version of iOS 6.x & iOS 7.x. Apple has released the fix in iOS 7.0.6 and iOS 6.1.6.

EV SSL Certificate is a special certificate which provides clear visual indicators to identify a genuine website. This certificate works on latest browser versions - IE 7, Mozilla Firefox 3, Opera 9.5, & Safari 3.2 and above.

For example, if you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 browser and the website you are visiting is EV SSL certified, then the URL address bar will turn green. Green bar tells you that the site is safe and legitimate. A display next to the green bar will have the website name listed along with the Certificate Authority.
