  • ‘International Spends’ is defined as all international purchases made on the Citi debit card. These include all transactions made in foreign currency, i.e. non INR. The billed amount in foreign currency (if other than USD) will be first converted to USD and then to INR basis prevailing exchange rates determined by Mastercard for settlement purposes.
  • Transactions performed using Dynamic Currency Conversion i.e. where the billing currency for international transaction has been opted as INR will not qualify as eligible transactions. In such cases, the billed amount is converted to INR based on market exchange rates. The markup in this case would be decided by merchant/ acquiring bank/ service provider and not by Citibank. Citibank will bill the final amount as confirmed by the customer in INR.
  • Use of debit card for payment in foreign exchange is not permitted in Nepal and Bhutan as per RBI guidelines.
  • Offer is valid on all purchase transactions done internationally.
