Citibank's EPay lets you pay your Credit Card bills online even if you don't have a Citibank banking account. This will normally take 2 working days to get credited into your account depending on the time taken by your Bank to process the payment.

Have a Citibank Account?

Pay your credit card bills using Citibank Online. Just Login using your user id & password and click on "Pay credit card bill" link under Banking.

Please note: You can enjoy the convenience of viewing all your Citibank accounts (Bank account / Credit Card / Home Loan / Personal loan) with a single internet Password (IPIN) by choosing to link your accounts. Simply select "Link my accounts" under "other Banking services" when you Login.

E-Pay via Other Bank Website

Citibank Credit Card has been added as Utility Biller with other banks. The list of Banks where Citibank has currently been listed as a Biller is given below:

  • Yes Bank

When you initiate Citibank Credit Card payments from other bank websites, you are requested to get in touch with respective banks for processing times.

If you are attempting to make payment to any other person's Credit Card from your Citibanking / Suvidha Account, you can Login to Citibank Online with your IPIN, register the Credit Card and then make the transfer easily.

What does EPay help me to do?

EPay enables you to pay your Citibank Credit Card bill online from any of your Non-Citibank accounts. You can pay from over 48 major banks including SBI, ICICI, HDFC, Axis and many more! So, no more trips to the drop boxes or waiting in queues.

How do I know my bank is included on EPay?

Do I need to login to Citibank to make this payment?

No, all you need to do is visit www.citibank.com/india, choose 'EPay' and follow the instructions. You must have your Internet Banking details like User ID or Password for your Non-Citibank account you would like to make the payment from.

Will I be charged for this?

Currently this service is absolutely free!

How long will it take for the money to be credited to my Citibank Credit Card?

If your transaction status on the E-Pay confirmation page is successful, your Citibank Credit Card will be credited with the amount you authorized within 2 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

Can I pay only my Citibank Credit Card using EPay?

Payments can be made only towards Credit Cards issued by Citibank. You can pay not only your own but any Citibank Credit Card using EPay, including add-on Cards.

Can I pay into a Citibank Diners Club Card using EPay?

Yes, you can.

Can I pay my Citibank Credit Card Bill from my Citibank account using E-Pay?

No. To make your Citibank Credit Card payment from your Citibank account, you will need to log into Citibank Online with you IPIN and use the "Pay Credit Card" menu to effect the payment. Your bank account will be debited and the payment to the credit card will be applied instantaneously.

What if I enter the wrong Card number?

We ask for the Card number twice to ensure accuracy. However, if a payment is made to a wrong Card number then please get in touch with our customer care team for resolution. You may call CitiPhone or alternatively log on to www.citibank.co.in using your IPIN and raise your query under 'Your Queries' link on the left navigation panel. We request you to check the Card number before authorising the payment.

How do I know that the transaction was successful?

After the payment is made, you will be shown an acknowledgment screen. This screen will contain a 'Status' title, which will display 'SUCCESS' in case of successful transactions and 'FAILURE' in case of failed transactions. This screen will also contain the transaction reference number. Please note this down and quote this in case of any transaction queries with your Bank.

The bank I would like to pay from is not a part of EPay. What do I do?

My account has been debited, however the Success Message and Transaction Reference No. has not been displayed on the Confirmation Page of E-Pay?

If your bank account has been debited, however the success page with the transaction reference number is not displayed, then you are advised to contact your Bank to check if the transaction was successfully processed. Your Bank will confirm back to you if the transaction is successful and the payment will be credited to the Credit Card.

How fast will the funds reflect in my Credit Card Account?

Once the transaction has been successfully completed, your Bank will debit the funds from your Bank account and transfer the same to Citibank. On receipt of the funds, the same will be credited to your Credit Card by end of the day (if done before 5 p.m.), else the next working day. Funds transfer request made on non-working days will get executed on the following working day. The actual time taken to credit the account depends on the time taken by your bank to process the payment.

What happens to the funds if the Credit Card Number specified is invalid?

In the event of an invalid Card number being submitted by the customer, the funds will be returned to the originating bank within one working day. To check the status of the credit into your account, please get in touch with your Bank.

Is there any charge for making the Credit Card payment using this facility?

Citibank does not levy any charges for payments received through funds transferred to your CitiCard from other bank account. Most banks also offer funds transfer facility free of cost. However, you are requested to get in touch with your bank for details on applicable charges, if any.

Will I have a Unique Reference Number for the transaction?

Yes, on successfully completing the funds transfer you will be given a reference number for the transaction.

If you have not noted the same at the time of the transaction, you can call your bank and the same will be provided to you.

You need to quote this Unique Transaction Reference Number at the time of logging in your complaint, if any.

How do I know if my Bank is registered for this Service?

Almost all banks are registered for providing their customers with the funds transfer facility. However you are requested to check with your bank.

Under what circumstances can my funds transfer be rejected and what happens to my funds in case of transfer rejection?

Your funds transfer can be rejected if you have entered an invalid Card number (or) if you have entered an invalid IFSC Code. In the event of rejection, the funds will be remitted back to the originating bank within one working day. To check the status of the credit into your account, please get in touch with your Bank.

Please note this facility is not enabled for Citibank World Money Card and Diners Club NRI Card. Also Non Resident customers who hold International Credit Card with Citibank India should not use this facility and should ensure payments are made only from their NRE/NRO account.

How do I know my funds transfer payment is credited to my Citibank Card?

You will receive a payment confirmation via SMS and E-mail to the registered mobile number and E-mail address.

My payment transferred via funds transfer is not reflecting in my card account. What should I do?

Your payment will be credited on the same day (if done before 5 p.m.), else the next working day. In case the same is still not reflecting, you are requested to contact our 24 hours CitiPhone Banking helpline service quoting your UTR number.

You can also login to www.citibank.co.in using your Internet Personal Identification Number(IPIN) and raise a query through the "Your Queries" link on the left navigation panel.
