Your World Money Card, just like your Credit Card, can be used at over 13 Million VISA Electron Merchant establishments to settle your hotel bills, car rental bills and all your purchases. Please Note: ATMs will have daily withdrawal limits and will change from one bank to another. Certain banks levy additional charges for cash withdrawals. Always ensure credit option is selected in ATM when prompted for account type.

Your Citibank World Money Card is re-loadable and is valid for a period of two years. Within this period you can use your Card as many times as you like. On your next trip overseas, you can recharge your Card at the Money Changer from whom you purchased it. Simply fill in the reload coupons given to you along with the necessary documents; your Card will be credited with the new amount in hours. This is subject to RBI regulations. When you return home, you can either choose to retain the unspent balance in your World Money Card for future trips or have this reimbursed in Indian Rupees. Please contact your Money Changer to encash the unspent balance in your Card.

Please Note: Based on RBI regulations, you can retain your Card only if the balance remaining is below US$ 2,000 when you return from abroad. If the balance exceeds US$ 2,000, you will have to surrender your Card and take back the remaining amount in full within 90 days from the date of arrival. If this mandate is not followed, your Card will be suspended and the balance amount withheld. You could also face regulatory action. Conversion to Rupee is at prevailing Card rate.

1. How to get my Citibank World Money Card?
   You can purchase Citibank World Money Card any time before your travel from Citibank branches or from leading Money Changers. The Card can be taken for a minimum amount of USD/GBP/EUR 250 and can hold up to USD/GBP/EUR 10,000 (subject to RBI/FEMA regulations). It is not mandatory for you to hold a Citibank account to get a World Money Card. Locate your CWM outlet.

2. Where can the Citibank World Money Card be used?
   Your Citibank World Money Card is accepted at over 13 Million VISA Establishments that display the VISA/VISA Electron Logo. Your Card has the convenience of a Traveller's Cheque and the acceptance of a Credit Card, rolled into one! But remember:
   1. Your Card has to be swiped on an Electronic Data Capture Machine only. Transactions will be declined if any other mode of authorization is tried on.
   2. Your Card is valid only for Electronic Usage only and there are certain charges for which your Citibank World Money Card must not be used
      1. Temporary charges - for e.g. deposits at hotels, on hiring cars, etc., as the amount is debited to your Card immediately but credited only 60 days after reversal.
      2. Unauthorised amounts - only amounts that have been electronically approved are billed, for e.g. tips added to restaurant bills after the charge slip has been generated, are not authorised.
      3. In case you incur temporary/non-electronic charges, you may exceed the Limit on your Card. This amount is due to Citibank, and it will appear as a debit balance in your Card Statement.
3. Can the Card be used at ATMs?
   You can use your Citibank World Money Card at ATMs that display the VISA/VISA PLUS logo 24 hours a day. But remember:
   1. ATMs will have daily withdrawal limits and will change from one bank to another.
   2. Certain banks levy additional charges for cash withdrawals.
   3. Always ensure credit option is selected in ATM when prompted for account type.

5. What are the limits on Citibank World Money Card?
   The Card can be purchased for a minimum of USD/GBP/EUR 250 and then can be reloaded up to 10,000 in the respective currency. However the limits as prescribed by FEMA will be applicable and reload request/transactions will not be undertaken if the limit is exhausted.

1. Your Citibank World Money Card is accepted only at Electronic Swipe terminals (Electronic Data Capture Machines). The Card cannot be used at Manual machines, usage on Internet for making purchases/payments is not allowed and the Card cannot be used in any other form of telephone/voice authorization.
2. Citibank World Money Card cannot be used for withdrawing cash in India, Nepal and Bhutan.
3. Citibank World Money Cards are valid for 2 years and can be used for multiple trips.
4. Your Card can be re-loaded any number of times and can hold up to USD/EUR/GBP 10,000 or as per the RBI stipulation (For latest on RBI regulation: www.rbi.org.in) which ever is less.
5. Balance up to USD 2000 or its equivalent can be retained in the Card for future trips. If in excess of USD 2000 or its equivalent, the balance on the Card should be cashed out.
6. When your Citibank World Money Card is swiped on a swiping machine (Electronic Data Capture Machine) please ensure "credit" option is selected under card type. The Card may be declined if 'SAVINGS' is selected.
7. Citibank World Money Cards are accepted at VISA ATMs (ATMs that display VISA/VISA PLUS/VISA ELECTRON). While withdrawing cash at ATMs please select, "CHECKING ACCOUNT" as your account type. In cases where this option is not available please select "CREDIT ACCOUNT".
