GIRO facility - Remitting funds electronically from your bank account in Singapore to your Rupee Checking Account in India.

GIRO is the local clearing house facility in Singapore. This facility allows you to debit your SGD account and transfer funds to your RCA Online.

All you need to do is follow the simple process of registration for GIRO and then get started with Online Remittances to your RCA.

To register for GIRO Facility for your Rupee Checking Account, you need to follow the process below:

• Fill the registration form online by providing the following basic details of your Bank Account in Singapore.
• The form will take you to another registration form.
• Print and complete both the forms.
• Sign and send the form to the NRI Center in Singapore at following address:

Citibank Singapore Ltd., NRI Business Center, 40A, Orchard Road, Singapore - 238838, (Opposite Dhoby Ghaut MRT)

Once you take the print of the completed GIRO Form, please post the same to the nearest NRI Center. This would be sent to your bank for authorization. Once your bank authorizes, Citibank India will check for the following:

• Authorization by your bank.
• Name match against your account in India.
• Signature match against your signature on record with us.

Post, which you would be registered for GIRO. The entire process takes a minimum of 21 days for completion.

You can start transacting immediately after you have been successfully registered on GIRO on CBOL. The average time taken for registration is approximately 21 days.

Your Citibank Rupee Checking Account will get credited after four working days after you initiate a successful transfer.

• Click on Remit now under the Remittance option once you login to Citibank Online.
• Enter the Singapore dollar amount to be transferred from your account in Singapore to your RCA.
• Confirm the transfer by clicking OK.

The transferred funds will reflect in your RCA after four working days. Saturdays, Sundays & all Public Holidays are not working days.

There are no charges for remitting funds to your RCA using this facility.

Explanation of Limits:

In One Calendar Week

Value of Transactions Completed + Value of Transactions Pending <= SGD 30,000

AND

No. of Transactions Completed + No. of Transactions Pending <= 2

In One Month

Value of Transactions Completed + Value of Transactions Pending <= SGD 120,000

AND

No. of Transactions Completed + No. of Transactions Pending <= 8

Definition of a Calendar Week / Month

A calendar week runs from Monday to Sunday. On our system the calendar week starts on Monday at 3.00 a.m. IST.

Similarly a calendar month is from the 1st till the 28th / 29th / 30th / 31st - depending on the number of days in the month.

Any transaction that is not completed within the calendar week will get carried forward as a "Pending" transaction for the following calendar week.

Thus two transactions may be initiated in a calendar week only if no pending transactions get carried forward from the previous week.

You can register as many Singapore Source Accounts to 1 RCA as you want.

Your Singapore Source Account can be registered to only 1 RCA account.

You may register a source account & do further transactions on GIRO only through a single CARD Number & IPIN on CBOL, i.e., only one account holder may register & transact on the account.

Yes, you can view details of all remittances received into your RCA for the last 6 months. You can view the same by clicking at "Details of the remittances in the last 6 months".

No, the customer can de-register on GIRO online. He can visit his account and request for the same.
